MLA Rosalyn Bird
Prince George Valemount
Rosalyn Bird is the MLA for Prince George-Valemount and the Official Opposition Whip. She was first elected in 2024.
Rosalyn's career in the Canadian Forces is marked by dedication and success. She embarked on this journey in 1990, starting as a Boatswain and later re-classifying as a Resource Management Clerk. In 2005, Rosalyn was commissioned as a Naval Logistics Officer.
During her career, Rosalyn deployed in support of NATO and played a role in Forward Logistics Support for Southeast Asia relations, Op Apollo, and Op Altair in support of Afghanistan. Her service took her across Canada, from BC to Nova Scotia and as far north as Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, at CFS Alert.
MLA Kiel Giddens
Prince George Mackenzie
Kiel Giddens is the MLA for Prince George-Mackenzie and the Critic for Labour. He was first elected in 2024.
Kiel has spent over a decade working in the LNG industry in British Columbia and across Canada. He also served as the President of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.
He and his wife Elyse have chosen to make Prince George their home to work, raise their children, and provide every opportunity they possibly can for their kids’ futures.
MLA Sheldon Clare
Prince George North Cariboo
Sheldon Clare is the MLA for Prince George-North Cariboo and Official Opposition Critic for Environment, Parks, Emergency Management & Climate Readiness. He was first elected in 2024.
Since 1993, Sheldon has been an integral part of the College of New Caledonia. His dedication goes beyond teaching, as he served as a contract negotiator for 12 years. He also served six terms as the chair of the provincial Bargaining Co-ordination Committee.
Sheldon was born and bred in Prince George and is a loving father to his two daughters Elise and Danielle.
