Todd Doherty is the Member of Parliament for the riding of Cariboo Prince George, first elected in October 2015. Mr. Doherty has extensive experience in representing Canada on the global stage, having participated in trade missions, industry conferences, and regulatory panels across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.

He previously held roles such as Deputy Shadow Minister of National Defence, Shadow Minister for Fisheries and Oceans, the Canadian Coast Guard, and Asia-Pacific Gateway, as well as Shadow Minister for Transport.
Mr. Doherty is renowned for his advocacy on mental health issues. He championed Bill C-211, An Act Respecting a Federal Framework on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), the first of its kind globally, which mandates the development of a federal framework for recognizing, diagnosing, and treating PTSD. Additionally, his efforts led to the establishment of a national 3-digit suicide prevention hotline (988), which has been operational since the fall of 2023.
In his personal life, Mr. Doherty, along with his wife Kelly, has been a successful small business owner for over 20 years. They have four children—Joshua, Kaitlyn, Kassi, and Jordan—and one granddaughter, Ren Kathleen.
