Working with your local media is one of the best ways to reach your community. But does the thought of calling the media – or taking a call from them – cause your heart to beat faster? Delivering a confident and professional media interview can increase awareness about what you do and improve your corporate image.
Join experienced communications professional Jan Enns for this interactive and informative media spokesperson seminar. Learn about the media, how they work and what to do when they call. Plus, find out how to develop powerful key messages and put them into practice – so you can deliver a more clear and consistent message to your audience through the media. Key points covered include:
How to work with the media to spread the word
What to do when the media calls
How to develop strong, clear and consistent key messages
How to answer media questions and stay on message
Some dos and don’ts
Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet with local News Directors and reporters who, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, will offer their advice as to the basics of working well with local media. They will also share their timelines, local areas of interest for news stories, and how to filter good media releases from poor ones.
There will also be time for Questions and Answers with the local Media Panel, learn from those who live it!
With a limited number of seats available, be sure to book in advance.
